Terms of Service

These beta terms describe the basic rules for using TallyMigo. They should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before a public launch.

DRAFT — NOT YET LEGALLY REVIEWED. The warranty, liability, and indemnification sections marked “(DRAFT)” below are placeholder language for discussion only. They must be drafted and finalized by a licensed attorney before public launch and do not constitute legal advice.

Beta product

TallyMigo is an early beta product. Features may change, break, or be removed. Users should keep independent backups of important records.

No tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice

TallyMigo is a record-keeping tool that helps you organize income, expenses, mileage, shared costs, and receipts into a tax-ready summary. It is not a tax preparer and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, investment, payroll, lending, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional.

All figures, categories, totals, and estimates (including any mileage or profit estimates) are generated from the information you enter and are for organizational purposes only. They are not verified, are not a tax return, and are not filing-grade. You must not file taxes or make financial decisions based solely on TallyMigo's output. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your data and for reviewing all records and figures with a licensed tax professional (such as a CPA or EA) before filing.

User responsibility

Bank connections

Bank connection is optional and read-only for expense tracking. TallyMigo does not hold funds or initiate transfers in the beta product.

Your responsibility & assumption of risk (DRAFT)

You acknowledge that you — not TallyMigo — are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your records and for any tax returns, filings, or financial decisions you make. You assume all risk arising from your use of TallyMigo's records, summaries, estimates, and exports.

“As is” — no warranties (DRAFT)

TallyMigo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service, or any calculation, total, category, or estimate, is accurate, complete, current, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability (DRAFT)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TallyMigo and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any tax penalties, interest, lost profits, lost data, or amounts owed to any tax authority, arising out of or relating to your use of the service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed [ATTORNEY/CEO TO FINALIZE — e.g., the amount you paid TallyMigo in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100, whichever is greater].

Indemnification (DRAFT)

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TallyMigo and its owners, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the service, your data, your tax filings, or your violation of these terms.

Governing law & disputes (DRAFT)

Availability

We aim to keep TallyMigo available, but beta access is provided without uptime guarantees.
