Privacy Policy
TallyMigo is a beta app for small-business and side-hustle income, expense, receipt, shared-cost, mileage, and tax-ready record tracking. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users in the United States.
Information we collect
- Account information such as name, business name, email address, login information, and support messages.
- Business records users enter, including income, invoices, customers, merchants, expenses, mileage, shared costs, notes, and tax categories.
- Receipt files, images, PDFs, and metadata users upload.
- Optional bank data if a user connects a bank account through Plaid, such as account identifiers, institution name, balances, transactions, dates, merchants, and categories.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, log data, and security events.
How we use information
- Provide the app, save records, generate reports, and support account access.
- Create tax-ready summaries and exports based on user-entered data.
- Process optional read-only bank connections through Plaid.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve the beta product.
- Communicate about account, security, beta feedback, and product updates.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not move money, hold user funds, or initiate bank transfers in the beta app.
- We do not file taxes for users or provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.
- We do not store bank login credentials. Bank linking is handled by Plaid.
Sharing information
We share information only as needed to operate TallyMigo, comply with law, protect rights and security, or with user direction. Service providers may include hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, support, and Plaid for optional bank connections.
Retention
We keep account and business records while the account is active or as needed for support, security, legal, backup, and audit purposes. Users may request deletion of their account and associated records, subject to legal or security retention needs.
State privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, download, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. TallyMigo intends to honor applicable US state privacy rights for all users, not only users in one state. See State Privacy Rights.
Children
TallyMigo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
